Posthumanist Approaches to a Critique of Political Economy: Dissident Practices

We are pleased to invite students, teaching staff and all interested to this public symposium which will take place in the Department of Visual Culture, TU Wien and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna on 4 December 2023 from 10.00 to 20.00.

The symposium is organised by CARMEN LAEL HINES and LISA MORAVEC in the context of their forthcoming co-edited volume for Bloomsbury’s POSTHUMANISM IN PRACTICE Series. It will involve a series of interactive workshops and public discussions to engage the relevance of posthumanism on the way we theorize and practice critique of political economy. Discussions will engage issues of AI, neoliberalism, globalization, epistemologies of selfhood, the performative economy, amongst other topics.
