STEFANO HARNEY: The Return of Mr. Slime

The Department of VISUAL CULTURE is pleased to welcome STEFANO HARNEY for a four-part seminar series open to all this semester.

The first seminar will take place on Thursday, 03.11.2022, 18:00 in seminar room AA03-1 (TUW, Main Campus). The seminars build upon each other but can be attended individually as well.

THE RETURN OF MR. SLIME

The Thought and Action of Andaiye, is the first of four linked seminars open to the public but aimed at students at the Technical University. Their format will be based on readings and discussions. Those who attend will be encouraged to do the reading, and to participate in discussions.

 

STEFANO HARNEY (Dr.) is Professor of Transversal Aesthetics at the ACADEMY OF MEDIA ARTS COLOGNE and a Honorary Professor in the Institute of Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice at the UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA. He is a scholar specializing in Black Studies and has taught in the fields of anthropology, sociology, art criticism, American studies and business and management. 2022/23 he joins the Department of VISUAL CULTURE as Professorial Research Fellow.
