ABOUT THE CENTRE FOR GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE

The CENTRE FOR GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE is an interdisciplinary initiative established to study the planetary changes affecting spatial production today. It provides a platform for frontier research into the global dimension of spatial organisation and its particular conditions. Our commitment is to explore newly emerging global developments, their spatial manifestations and political, economic, social and cultural contestations across a variety of territorial scales.

In these endeavours, the CENTRE FOR GLOBAL ARCHITECTURE draws on a range of long-term international research projects and collaborations with an extensive network of international practitioners that have addressed the complex ways in which we have become implicated in global change today: from the new ethos of collaborative practices to the incorporation of informality into the economic world order, to interlinkages between new data publics and the rise of platform urbanism, and the need to promote environmental sustainability as a source of intrinsic value.
